I love that my photography allows me to get to know some amazing women. That’s one of the best parts of the job! So, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anastasia. Confidence and kindness? She has them both in spades! I love that she was fearless in her session and totally owned it. I think it’s so important to create a comfortable environment during each photo shoot where you can feel free to let go and have some fun. And boy, we had fun and created some beautiful images! Even Anastasia said, “You made me so comfortable and I felt truly stunning.”

This was such a fun photo session with an incredible woman! I absolutely love celebrating a woman’s sexiness and confidence with a boudoir shoot. I’m a big believer that beauty is a feeling, and that’s what this experience is all about. It’s a chance to feel gorgeous, have some fun and embrace the unique joy of being a woman. When you feel beautiful it shows; it illuminates and empowers you. I hope you feel beautiful!

why do a boudoir portrait session?

As a photographer it’s easy to get comfortable safely standing behind the camera, chasing your creative vision. But, I’ve learned the most by getting out of my comfort zone and stepping in front of someone else’s lens. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Stripped Down workshop in Las Vegas and learn from the amazingly talented photographer Denise Birdsong. I absolutely love her work and committed without thinking twice to the chance to learn from her. BUT, even more importantly, to be photographed by her.

So, why’d I do it? For a chance to see things from a client’s perspective, and BECAUSE I WANTED TO HAVE SOME FUN! My boudoir portrait experience was insanely fun. Shopping for my wardrobe, prepping for the shoot, working with Denise, and viewing the gorgeous photos. I felt sexy, beautiful, sensual, and like I was doing something just for myself. No, I don’t have a perfect body, but every time I see those photos I smile and feel amazing all over again.

Every woman should have beautiful, professional fine art photos of herself (not just the kind you take for the church directory). Find a photographer whose work you love and trust them to photograph your most gorgeous self. These will be photos you will cherish for a long time to come. And, why consider doing a boudoir session in particular? BECAUSE IT’S SO MUCH FUN!
