Pregnancy is one of those wonderful times in a woman’s life to be celebrated and cherished. But it’s not always an easy and stress free time. This is one of the reasons I love maternity boudoir sessions. These sessions give you a moment to focus on yourself and to feel beautiful with all your new curves amid the stress and change that can accompany this journey to motherhood. It’s the perfect time to take a day to be pampered and have fun while creating a treasured keepsake for you and your family.

I think these maternity boudoir photography sessions are more intimate and feminine than traditional pregnancy photography and they go well hand in hand. I do maternity shoots where the first half is boudoir and the second half is a traditional maternity shoot at a picturesque location in Dallas. There are lots of possibilities for making these sessions special and unique to you!

Styling your boudoir photo session is part of the fun of the experience! (I love this part!) The right styling can take your photos from just pretty to magazine worthy! That’s what I want for my clients, so I talk through styling with you before your session. As you put your looks together consider all the details like color, fit, design, accessories, etc. These details make a big difference in creating a beautiful polished photo.

Enjoy shopping for your boudoir photo shoot! Start early and take your time. Don’t wait until the last minute. I highly recommend shopping for your lingerie in person so you can try on various styles and sizes. Each woman’s body is unique, so lingerie can look very different on you than in an online photo. Dallas has several luxury lingerie boutiques like Agent Provocateur and Zsofia’s that I totally trust will give you excellent customer service and a large variety of gorgeous lingerie styles. Their professional stylists will help you put together a stunning and sexy look that’s a perfect fit just for you!

When choosing your lingerie, consider design and how each piece contours to your body. Select items that highlight your favorite features! For example, consider a beautiful lace bodysuit or basque to highlight your décolletage and shoulders while trimming your waist. Or, find a stunning pair of stockings and garters that make your legs look a mile long! Think outside the bra & panty set and have fun!
