Have you worried about not feeling comfortable during a boudoir photo shoot or not feeling like yourself? Have those thoughts stopped you from doing the boudoir photo session you’ve dreamed about? So many of my clients express those same feelings before their boudoir shoots. I want to reassure you that it’s ok to have those thoughts, but know that we understand and will take care to help you overcome them, feel comfortable, and have a great experience.

I want to share just a few things that we do for each client to help them relax and enjoy their photo session. First, we spend time getting to know you. Finding a photographer that you connect with and trust is so very important. And this takes more than just one or two emails. We create an open dialogue with each client well before the photo session so that we get to know each other and can plan an experience catered specifically to each woman and what she wants from her session. We learn about your personality, your objectives for the session, and help you with inspiration and styling too.

Next, we create a pampered, serene environment that allows you to relax and be yourself. Our goal is for you to enjoy the boudoir photo session and have fun! There’s no rushing around with tight timelines or must-do poses. We begin each session with professional hair and makeup application so you can feel confident that you will look beautiful on camera. We shoot in a private, natural light filled studio that you will love. We also encourage open communication between us and will offer gentle guidance throughout the session. (No modeling experience needed, I promise!)

Remember that boudoir images are not about perfection, they are about celebrating your authentic and honest self in a powerful and intimate way with elegant and timeless images. Boudoir portraits are about creating art while telling your beautiful and unique story.
