We are so fortunate to have beautiful botanic gardens at the Dallas Arboretum to use for Dallas portrait sessions. And, it’s just minutes away from my new photography studio! I love that the gardens are always changing, so each time I shoot there it’s new and fresh. Some of my favorite spots are tucked away in the corners and down covered paths.

This session was so much fun and you’d never guess it was still about 95 degrees out! Ashley makes it look so natural and easy! Oh, I just love her beautiful big eyes and adorable freckles! Her gorgeous hair and makeup is by Tisha Corcoran at TC Makeup and her wardrobe is from ASOS and Apple Street.

Because you never get a second chance to make a first impression, as they say, professional headshots can really make you stand out. A headshot photography session is well worth the time and investment! My portrait sessions are casual and intimate. In each session, I try to capture images that are unique to you and really communicate your personality.

Many people say that the most important photos you put on the internet are the pictures that represent YOU, like your profile photos. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for job hunting, networking, or just being social, your photo is one of the first things people see. So make it count!!

Knowing that this image represents you to the world, it’s worth putting a little thought into it and making sure you’re saying what you really want to with your photos. I suggest bringing several outfits that range from casual to work or dress attire so you have variety and more versatile photos. But, always choose something that has a flattering fit and that you feel beautiful wearing. That way you come to your portrait session feeling great!

Portraits at White Rock Lake | Dallas

White Rock Lake really is a beautiful urban oasis in the middle of Dallas, especially in the summer! And, it’s absolutely a gorgeous place for outdoor portraits in Dallas. I love to find new locations around the lake that offer a variety of scenes giving diversity to our portrait sessions. There are so many of these wonderful little spots around every turn! For this shoot, we stopped at a local park, old railroad trestles, and the sailing club.

This particular day it was too windy on the lake for sailing, but that didn’t stop us from finding some picturesque spots at the Corinthian Sailing Club. Believe me, it was a crazy windy day, even though Kate makes wind blown look so beautiful! It was still so fun to be out on the lake photographing Kate. She is such a delight!
